Starring: a rooftop and a ribbed top.

I am LOVING the off the shoulder ribbed top look right now. It’s easy, edgy, and SO versatile. Skirts, jeans, shorts: you name it, it works. I picked up TWO of them from Forever 21 this weekend. A third, super cute top from LF was also in the running, since they’re having their huge season blow out sale. Get it while it’s hot (and good luck navigating that place….) I legit wanted EVERYTHING.

I wore this badass hook-eye off the shoulder top to a birthday party Saturday night! I’m already so obsessed with it. I wanted the whole look to be a little edgier than usual, so I went with the hooks over the plain black ribbed off the shoulder top I picked up with it. Why? Well, because it’s FASHION WEEK (and literally every sidewalk in NYC looks like a catwalk at the moment). I may have been sipping drinks in Chelsea compared to sitting along side a runway rubbing elbows with some of the world’s most glamorous individuals, but it’s all good. I’ll continue to heed one very smart person’s advice: FAKE IT TILL YA MAKE IT.

I paired the top with my destroyed Missguided skirt with an uneven hem and my Ego Official nude Perspex heels (did I mention I’m SO STOKED to finally start wearing boots again!?)
