About me

Thanks for dropping by

Hi, I’m Dana.

I’m 30 years old and hail from the Garden State. I currently live in New York City in lively neighborhood tucked away behind Times Square called Hell’s Kitchen. I’m a UNC Chapel Hill alum (Go Heels!) and graduated from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2014. After my departure from Chapel Hill, I kickstarted my career in broadcast journalism and began working in cable news right here in New York City. Fast forward to 2022: I now work as a Customer Success Manager at a tech company and I’m lucky enough to absolutely love my job.

I started this blog from my living room couch. I had just returned from the most amazing trip to Tuscany and was struggling to adjust back into my daily routine. You know the feeling. I had so many pictures and stories to share, but it was the longing for another new adventure that inspired me to take the leap and create a space where I can share exploration both near and far, random thoughts, fashion finds, fitness endeavors, food picks and more.

I credit this blog as my ticket into the group fitness space. As someone who has always thrived on living an active lifestyle, I started diving further into fitness so that I could share what brands I supported and which workouts were worthwhile for you.

I’ve always admired group fitness’ ability to bring different people together for a shared experience, often times one which transcends merely a physical workout. Knowing that I wanted to be a part of that on a deeper level encouraged me to take the plunge. After fostering connections through the blogging space, a small boxing studio in NoHo took a chance on me in 2018. Fast forward to 2022 and I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have experience teaching at 2 premiere boxing studios in New York City. I’m currently pursuing a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist so that I can continue to encourage people to move their bodies safely, wherever they are in their fitness journey.

My hope is that you will find entertainment and hopefully some inspiration from this space.
