This bakery is out of this world….

Stay wild, moon child.

Greetings, fellow weirdoughs! You’re in for something extra(tressrially) sweet today. ICYMI: Supermoon Bakehouse opened in the LES a few weeks ago. If you haven’t been there yet…. what are you waiting for?! I don’t know what you’ve been doing all this time. Anyway, here’s something we can all agree on: there will NEVER be a shortage of crazy desserts in the Big Apple! From alcoholic ice cream, to ridiculously flavored (and sized…) donuts, to ice cream floating on a cotton candy cloud, NYC has it all. And as you know, where the fun food pops up, I go.

If you want to get in on the funky food trend, you need to put Supermoon Bakehouse on your radar. Supermoon’s menu boasts a bunch of funky croissants and donuts that are literally out-of-this-world. I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like them. Like seriously, the Banana Split Sundae Twice-Caked Croissant? The A Matcha Made in Heaven Donut? Or how about the Ti-Rum-Is Cruffin? These were literally made for your Instagram (and are the perfect treats for any sweet tooth!)

Luckily, Supermoon is right around the block from Ben, so we went for breakfast last weekend. I ended up getting the Lychee-Berry Jelly Bi-Color Croissant, which was freakin’ delicious, despite being pretty messy! We’re talking about a massive croissant covered with stripes of strawberry powder, topped with slices of dried strawberries, and oozing with the most delicious lychee-berry jelly. My mouth is actually watering as I️ think about it. Taking a stroll on the wild side, Ben got an incredibly underwhelming regular croissant. (That’s harsh– I’m sure it was good!)

And if these flavors haven’t sold you, the space and branding at Supermoon will. The store has high ceilings, tons of natural light, and a wall of glass showcasing the expert bakers hard at work in the back. Pretty neat. They also have amazing iridescent to-go boxes on display behind the counter. Since we only got one croissant each, ours were served in matching iridescent packets. They were so pretty that I took mine home and have it on display on my TV stand (can you tell I struggle in the interior design department?)

Next time you’re in the LES, you should definitely stop in to Supermoon! You won’t be disappointed. Let me know what you think of Supermoon Bakehouse in the comments section below! Check them out on Instagram here and view their full menu here!
