Grr baby, very grr.
Okay, that Austin Powers quote was technically about a tiger and I’m in leopard but hey, it’s all about them animals baby.
I was so excited to see the animal print trend emerge during this long extension of summer. It was truly one of the coolest trends on the runway during this season’s NYFW, although neon was pretty fun too. While I don’t always buy whatever’s “in”, I could not RESIST picking up some fun pieces. That’s especially true when I first stumbled upon this Nasty Gal skirt. With its wrap skirt effect with a high, low cut, I knew I had to have it. It was flirty, light, and FUN. Not to mention Nasty Gal is forever 50% off so hey, why not? I was a little worried considering the fact that ever since I ditched my high school uniform skirt, I’ve probably worn a skirt three times (and a cheap black mini skirt bought on Fordham road doesn’t count… you people know what I mean….)
But I was up to the personal skirt challenge and went for it. The verdict? This was one of my better recent purchases! It’s been so fun styling it with different ways, like with a leather jacket and white boots and a black cropped sweater and dad sneakers. I’m looking forward to wearing it with my white mules, too, and I’m sure it’ll be all over your Instagram feed when I decide to wear it again 😂 In the meantime, here’s Savanna (@savjimenez) and I having a DAY on the Brooklyn Bridge and galavanting through the city!
My skirt is actually out of stock (boo), I’ve linked a few similar styles here (buy the set for the maxi), here (Who What Wear for Target), here, here & here if you want a higher end one. If a skirts just not your thing, check out these fun leopard print pants to stay involved 😉 from Zara, Zara , and Nasty Gal. This Zara dress is also fab, and I own this shirt and LOVE IT. Honestly they’re totally killing the animal print trend. Here’s another perfect skirt!
