Some things are just meant to go together. Like cheese and fine wine, peanut butter and jelly, or spaghetti and meatballs. Here’s another exceptional pairing for you: New York City and pizza.
There’s no denying that New York is home to some of the best pizza on the planet, and in a city where dollar slice joints grace every corner, and where each restaurant does it differently, navigating the pizza scene can be a challenge for the inexperienced pie eater.
HAVE NO FEAR. Having eaten my way through some of the amazing spots NYC has to offer, I’m here to help: I bring you my unofficial pizza eating tour of NYC. New York style pies in BK? Yup, we can do that. Detroit style in the East Village? Yup, gotchu. Pies for sharing vs pies to devour on your own? Consider it done. Ben and I have made it a mission to roll up our sleeves and get our hands cheesy and greasy. While we’re not done yet, I think I’m bringing you a solid start.
This blog post is going to be a slightly different style, as I’ve actually adapted the content from a work presentation (yes, you read that right!). Rather than reinventing the wheel, I decided to make my presentation into a slide show, highlighting only the places you need to know and what you need to know about them. So, ladies and gents, hit the play button below and get ready to be armed with brand new pizza knowledge that you can use to impress your friends/parents/significant other!
