From the office to the street

Being that I’ve worked in the corporate, business casual world for all of my adulthood (not to mention three internships) it goes without saying I have a strong appreciation for a good blazer. Over the past few months, we’ve seen blazers break out of the office space and onto the street and I am SO okay with it. I absolutely love the plaid blazer look, especially layered over skinny jeans. It’s casual, but sophisticated, and it’s about damn time I mixed up my solid black, navy and white blazer rotation for this slightly edgier trend. So happy to know I have a piece I can wear to work and out to dinner after 😉

Without further ado, I bring you my latest piece from Shein. They always send me the best stuff, so thank you ladies!! #greatful I’m absolutely in love with this blazer not only because of the flattering pattern and the super-luxe velvet collar but because of the fit. I wouldn’t call it baggy, but it has an amazing, loose fit which makes it great for layering (seriously, if you want this blazer, I’d suggest sizing DOWN! This is an XS!). I also love how it covers my butt so I can get away with a painlessly quick office-to-street transition! I whipped it out for the first time this weekend, when I paired it with my black denim culottes and Zara heeled booties, which I’m absolutely obsessed with right now. Talk about Black Friday done right, huh? Naturally, I had to top it off with my favorite Gucci belt. And regarding that third pic…. yes my eyes are pretty much closed but THAT HIGHLIGHT THOUGH.
